AN INVALUABLE RESOURCE FOR HCPS

Developing medical educational content is a valuable resource that pharmaceutical manufacturers can make available to Healthcare Professionals.

Our Challenge

Galapagos Biopharma's product portfolio consists of a brand that is used to treat inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and ulcerative colitis (UC).

Providing educational content that goes beyond promotional content is an important activity that pharmaceutical manufacturers can offer HCPs. Such content might include new clinical data/publications, new approaches to disease management, thought leadership from experts, etc.

The challenge here was that a large proportion of HCPs treating RA and UC were unaware of Galapagos Play – a resource developed by Galapagos containing exclusive content on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and ulcerative colitis (UC).

The Solution

To increase the awareness of Galapagos Play amongst HCPs, W developed a toolkit of printed and digital communication assets for the Key Account Managers to use during customer discussions and meetings.

When developed and delivered through a non-branded platform by pharmaceutical manufacturers, educational content is often seen as a valuable resource by HCPs. As it enables them to keep up to date with the latest clinical advances and can often be used as a ‘door opener’ by sales representatives and key account managers looking to access customers who can be difficult to reach or who may be already familiar with your product(s).

Final Result

To increase the awareness of Galapagos Play amongst target HCPs, W developed a broad mix of communication assets to be used during customer face-to-face discussions, meetings, and at congresses.

Galapagos Play is a resource that has been around for some time but has been greatly underused. So, when we approached W, they proposed a good mix of printed and digital communication assets within our budget. All the assets have been extremely well received by the KAMs and we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of HCPs visiting the Galapagos Play web portal.
