Microbas

Website upgrade

W was asked to redesign the Microbas website but also to help reinforce their key messaging. See how we upgraded Microbas digital shopping window.

Our Challenge

Microbas is a world-leader in precision lapping and machining of glass ceramics, optical glass, ceramics, metals, and granite. Delivering to industries with semiconductors and displays, optics and space, machine building and manufacturing.

Our task was to support Microbas in redesigning their corporate website to deliver a less content heavy website, thereby making it easier for customers to quickly find information about Microbas and their solutions. The guiding principle for the website design was to ensure that the website communicated what the company offers in way that was easy to grasp and understand.

The Solution

Having worked with Microbas previously, W had a good understanding of their business and their target customers. So, together with Microbas we were quickly able to review and redesign the website structure by identifying the appropriate pages and content that were not relevant. After this step, the new website structure became more intuitive to navigate and the content easier to understand, leading to an improved user experience.

Final Result

The new Microbas website was delivered as a responsive website, working equally well on a mobile, PC or tablet, using WordPress as the platform. The new simplified website naturally meant that Microbas could more easily manage content updates themselves to ensure efficient use of resources.

Overall, the different steps taken in this project were:

  • Website audit
  • Renewed website structure and functionalities
  • Refreshed visual design and user experience
  • Implementation of new GDPR solution
  • Programming
  • Quality testing
Innovation needs to be part of your culture. Consumers are transforming faster than we are, and if we don’t catch up, we’re in trouble.
